What we collect and how it's used
Covers the Brand Brief, email-platform access, payment info, and site forms.
This is a plain-language draft, written from how the service actually operates today. It hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer yet and isn't a substitute for formal legal review -- get that done before relying on this for customers beyond an internal test.
What we collect
- Brand Brief details: pen name, email, sub-genres, series and book info, voice notes, uploaded newsletter samples and brand assets, topics to avoid, Goodreads/Amazon links, chapter excerpts, and your preferred send day.
- Email-platform access: if you connect your ESP (MailerLite, Kit, Flodesk, etc.), we work inside your account at the lowest access role available. We don't export, download, or keep a separate copy of your subscriber list.
- Starter list subscribers: if you use our free starter list instead of your own ESP, subscriber emails are held in our shared account under your own tag, capped at 25 addresses, until you migrate to your own platform.
- Payment info: handled entirely by Stripe. We don't see or store your card number -- we only see that a payment method is on file and the resulting subscription status.
- Site form submissions: name, email, and whatever else you enter into the lead form or Brand Brief form, submitted through Netlify Forms.
How it's used
Only to plan, write, and send your own newsletters, calendar, and promo -- never shared across clients, never sold, and never used for anything beyond producing your own work.
Tracking and cookies
This site doesn't run analytics, ad pixels, or tracking cookies. Netlify Forms processes form submissions; no separate tracking script is loaded.
Retention and deletion
If you cancel, your Brand Brief and related records are deleted within 30 days. We keep a content-free record that a client relationship existed (an ID and a deletion date), so our own logs stay consistent, but no brand, voice, or contact content is retained past that point.
